You can see who's on the Exec this year on the 2007-2008 Exec Page. Minutes of meetings of the Executive Committee are available for download.
The role of the Chairperson is to co-ordinate all matters involving Ormskirk Network. They must ensure that a balanced programme is running and promote and represent Ormskirk Network.
The Vice Chairperson is to represent the Chairperson in their absence. Additionally, they are responsible ensuring that events involving Ormskirk Network fall within Scout Association rules.
The Treasurer is responsible for keeping track of all of Ormskirk Network's money. They're the one who will be knocking on your door when you haven't paid up on time!
The Secretary keeps track of Ormskirk Network's member's details, ensuring they are up to date. They also take and distribute minutes of Core and Executive meetings.
The Social Secretary co-ordinates social activities, ensuring that there is a good balance of social events. They are also responsible for publicising events from within and outside the District.
The Membership Officer's role is, generally, to "make people feel part of Ormskirk Network". They must also build links with Colleges, Explorer Units and the District Explorer Scout Commissioner to recruit and retain new members. If you haven't yet been invested, this is the person who you need to speak to!
The Training and Awards Officer's role is to promote the award scheme and support training of Members to obtain National Governing Body awards.
There are two places on the Exec for officers without a specific role. They are there to support the other members of the exec and undertake projects such as running events or visiting Explorer Units.
